In partnership with The Teachers’ Guild of NSW and Australian Institute of Physics- You're Invited: Professional Learning Evening at UOW Science Space
Join us for an engaging Professional Learning evening designed especially for educators, presented in partnership with The Teachers' Guild of New South Wales. The evening will feature a series of insightful short presentations by leading experts in STEM education, followed by a special screening in the Science Space planetarium.

Presenters include:

• Dr Frederick Osman – President, The Teachers’ Guild of New South Wales and Secretary, The Australian Institute of Physics of New South Wales
• Mr Russ Taunton – STEM Project Officer, Corrimal HS, Lake Illawarra HS & Warrawong HS
• Associate Professor Helen Georgiou – School of Education, University of Wollongong
• Mr Stuart Creal – Director, UOW Science Space

Dr Osman will share an overview of The Teachers’ Guild of New South Wales and The Australian Institute of Physics of New South Wales mission and upcoming initiatives. Mr Taunton will present on his impactful work with the STEM Academy. A/Prof Georgiou will discuss innovative STEM learning through the UOW Makerspace. To conclude the evening, Mr Creal will welcome you to the planetarium and introduce Capturing the Cosmos, a visually stunning feature produced by ARC CAASTRO. This immersive experience reveals how astronomers in Australia are using cutting-edge telescopes and technologies to uncover the mysteries of the Universe.
