Teaching Physics Using Virtual Reality is an investigation of game-like simulations for science teaching that’s being funded by the Carrick Institute.
Real Time Relativity, a 3D virtual world that obeys Einstein's Theory of Special Relativity, is one of two simulation packages being developed as teaching packages for use in first year university science classes.
ANU is looking for collaborators in all aspects of this project, including: developing the simulations, integrating them into courses, and evaluating their educational effectiveness.
Developers are happy to visit universities to discuss the project, give seminars, and to help plan how the project might contribute to existing courses.
