Bragg Medal won by Frank Ruess, the University of New South Wales
The Bragg Medal for 2008 has been awarded to Frank Ruess from the University of New South Wales for his thesis 'Atomically Controlled Device Fabrication using STM'. The runner-up is Nathan Langford from the University of Queensland. The AIP Bragg gold medal is for the best Ph.D. thesis by a student from an Australian University. The medal was established in 1992 as an initiative of the SA Branch of the AIP to commemorate Sir Laurence Bragg and his father Sir William Bragg and is awarded annually.
