Two PhD scholarships are available to outstanding students or researchers who wish to study advanced materials/nanotechnology. One of these is tenable at the Australian National University and the other at RMIT.
These scholarships are valued at $25,000/annum plus up to $5,000 in project support. They are for full-time study, open to Australian and New Zealand citizens and will be awarded competitively based on academic performance and/or research experience.
A broad range of projects is available in areas relating to semiconductor materials-science, nanotechnology and photonics. Both fundamental and application-based projects are available.
Applications close 31 October 2007 for projects commencing in 2008.
