2008 Pawsey Medal -Call for nominations
The Pawsey Medal recognises the contributions to science in Australia by the late Dr J.L. Pawsey, FAA. Its purpose is to recognise outstanding research in physics by scientists under 40 years at the closing date, except in the case of significant interruptions to a research career. The award is made annually and is restricted to candidates who are normally resident in Australia and for research conducted mainly in Australia. An honorarium of $1000 is paid.
NB – If a proposed candidate is already the recipient of an Academy award, the second award must be for a distinct, additional, body of work undertaken since the first award, and/or work in a different field.
The Academy invites nominations for this award. Nominations are confidential. Closing date: 30 August 2007
